Doors
MALA Signature Rooms are fitted with beautiful double-glazed, aluminium bi-fold doors. The doors are finished to a colour of your choice (we’re happy to recommend complimentary colours to contrast or match your cladding choice, just give us a call).
Windows
The MALA Signature range lets the light flood in through its beautiful bi-fold doors, however additional windows are available.
Upgrade options windows
Additional windows are easily added to your building. You can specify extra windows as an upgrade option:
- Twin archer window front facing
- Triple archer window side facing
- A corner dual aspect vista window
- Letterbox light window
Lighting
Your MALA Room is fully-wired, so that you may easily create whatever mood or environment is required. All MALA Signature Rooms come with the standard electrical pack, however upgraded options are available.
Electric Sockets: Double electric sockets with USB fitted in each corner of the room.
Upgrade options sockets: Additional data cabling and wall sockets can be sited where required.
Exterior Lighting: Stainless steel up-and-down lighters, situated at either side of the doors and recessed pelmet lights.
Upgrade options exterior: Colour changeable mood lighting. Exterior black or rose gold fittings. Remote control lighting.
Interior Lighting: Recessed interior dimmable led lighting.
Upgrade options interior: Colour changeable mood lighting. Remote control lighting.
Your room is fully wired, so that you can simply “plug and play”. Please note that we are more than happy to connect your room’s electricity for an additional charge, or can work with your chosen electrician if preferred. Your MALA Build Co-ordinator will discuss these options with you upon booking and take care of everything.
Internal walls & ceiling
Your MALA Room interior walls and ceiling are plastered and finished in white emulsion as standard. We like our rooms light and bright, but feel free to specify your own colour choice and we will be happy to accommodate.
Flooring system
Your MALA Room comes with a high-quality vinyl click-flooring system. Vinyl click-flooring provides a luxury look and feel and is durable, warm and water resistance – making it an excellent choice. Various designs are available for you to choose from and we’re confident you’ll find one that suits your taste, however if you would prefer another type of flooring then please speak to the MALA Build Co-ordinator. A sample pack will be sent out to you upon placing your order.
Heating system
MALA Rooms are installed with smart panel slimline electric heating systems. Highly efficient, fully programmable and controlled from a thermostat, we even have an option to control your room temperature from your phone if required. You’ll always be warm and snug in a MALA Room.
As an additional item we can also install a beautiful wood burner for those long winter nights. Your local council may have various requirements or restrictions in place which your MALA Room Co-ordinator will investigate and discuss with you.
Sound proofing
A MALA Room comes fully soundproofed, which is more than sufficient for most usages. If however, your MALA Room is to become centre stage for the next rock band sensation, or a full-on movie night cinematic sound room – then additional sound deadening soundproofing can be added as an option.
Foundation & Frame
We use modern construction methods to install load-bearing galvanised steel ground screws (they are tree friendly too – no trees are harmed in the installation of a MALA Room). The floor and frame of a MALA Room is also constructed from light gauge steel. Not rotting, no warping, no worrying – just a room built to last a lifetime.
We are not like some garden building companies who use sub-standard materials – and that is why we guarantee MALA Rooms foundation and frame against rot for 25 years. In reality we could guarantee our buildings for 99 years! You’re making an investment in your MALA Room that will enhance your life and your property, the last thing you need in years to come is the very foundations of that investment rotting.
Cladding & Decking
You can clad and deck your MALA Room in either Cedar wood or a hand-picked composite cladding, available in a range of stylish colours and grains. Our cladding provides years of trouble-free, zero-maintenance beauty. All of our cladding products are environmentally friendly.
Roofing
MALA Rooms are fitted with the latest rubber roof technology to provide long lasting protection from the elements. Our roof membranes have a life expectancy of up to 50 years and carry their own warranty.
